Should I Rescue?

guidelines for intervention

Our wildlife needs caring people to survive, but sometimes well-meaning individuals intervene when it is not necessary. Often the species of concern is a baby bird, but the following cartoon speaks to other babies as well. If an animal is obviously injured, or you know for certain that it has been orphaned, by all means contact us. We are also available to help you talk through a particular scenario to determine if your intervention will be as a rescuer or a kidnapper.
